Jorge Enrique Gonzalez Pacheco

Honorary President  

He was born in Cuba, and is a poet, writer and cultural entrepreneur. Gonzalez Pacheco moved to the United States in 2003. In 2009 founded the SLFF. Jorge Enrique worked for seven years at the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC), in Havana.

Paloma Borreguero

She is a native of Madrid, Spain. Paloma has been teaching at Lakeside School since 2005. Prior to that, she coordinated the Spanish Language Program at the University of Washington for 14 years. Film, is a field that has fascinated her since her youth.

She is a Dominican actress, model, and Spanish-speaking television personality. Celines has been collaborating with the Seattle Latino Film Festival since 2015.

Programming Chair

Rafa Lara is a Mexican  director and editor, known for his films Cinco de Mayo, La Batalla (2013), The Miraculous (2008) and Labios rojos (2011).


Latha Sambamurti

Grants Specialist

Latha is originally from India and  has been with the Seattle Latino Film Festival since 2011. She serves on the Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA).  She is a teacher, lecturer, and singer with many solo and ensemble performances in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and India.

David Kipnis

Development Planner

David is a Seattle educator who promotes cultural awareness and respect, lover of the art of film, and a grant writer who supports community based projects. David recently has joined the board to focus on the development of the organization to insure its continued success.
