Awards & Prizes

Trophy and certificates will be designed by a local Artist. Also the director or producer will receive a monetary amount for the Best Feature Film, the Best Feature Documentary, the Best Short Documentary and the Best Short Film.

Rules & Terms

We encourage the submission of films, but all entries must be in Spanish, Portuguese, Indigenous Languages, also in English, Italian and French with English subtitles.

All entries must be available for screening during the festival. We welcome Feature Films, Short Films, and Documentaries.

You may submit as many entries as you like. Each entry requires its own entry fee, payable at Entry Fee, be sure to make a note like Entry Fee and Title of the work submitted:

  • $ 25.00 USD - Feature Film & Feature Documentary
  • $ 15.00 USD - Short Documentary & Short Film

Fees are not refundable.

We prefer online submissions.

You can also send us a link to your film on Vimeo with a password.

If your film is chosen to show at the Seattle Latino Film Festival, you must send a full quality DCP file/35mm print no later than 2 weeks prior to the festival screening.

All films should have been completed within 2016-2018. and most be in Spanish, Portuguese, Indigenous Languages, also in English, Italian and French.

All awards are based on the overall merit of the entry. Decisions by the judges are final.

Finalists will be notified on or around July 2018, if their entry will be screened at the 2018 Seattle :Latino Film Festival and considered with the other finalists for the top awards.

Festival does not deal with any copyright issues. All copyright issues should be resolved by the film authors.

Filmmakers and screenwriters retain 100% all of the rights to their projects and materials that they submit to the Seattle Latino Film Festival.

Festival organizers have the right to use extracts of the film for promotional purposes.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our officers, affiliates, employees, and partners from any and all claims and liability arising out of entering or transmitting your film to the Seattle Latino Film Festival.
